Opinion Piece: Trump, agitated at the Iran–Israel conflict, dropped a bomb of his own on the White House lawn.
Netanyahu Ditches Trump (Again), Trump Throws a Tantrum (Again)
It's not the first time Bibi ran afoul of the Trump administration. It's happening at the going rate of at least once per Trump term.
The last time the Israeli war-thirsty conservative poster boy peeved his opposite in Washington was in January 2020, when Trump sent an MQ-9 Reaper drone after Iran’s General Qasem Soleimani.
Three years later, Trump spoke to a crowd of supporters, calling what was supposed to be a collaboration between his last administration and Benjamin Netanyahu’s war machine a “bad experience.”
“Israel was going to do this with us, and it was being planned and worked on for months,” Trump explained at the time.
“We had everything all set to go, and the night before it happened, I got a call that Israel will not be participating in this attack.”
“I’ll never forget that Bibi Netanyahu let us down,” the Republican favorite said before accusing Netanyahu of trying to take credit for the assassination anyway.
Fast forward to earlier today: while on his way to the presidential helicopter, Trump was intercepted by the press, who badgered him about the recently orchestrated ceasefire between Iran and Israel.
According to his version of events, Israel unloaded a volley of ordnance on Iran, the likes of which he had never seen before.
He complained that both sides infringed, and then closed his remarks with something I’d never heard from a president before: he f-bombed!
“We basically have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don't know what the f*ck they're doing,” said the irate head of state.
Israel caught this too, and the story was reported by the country’s Times of Israel when they headlined: “In foul-mouthed tirade, Trump savages Israel for striking Iran, says it violated ceasefire.”
Yeah, how dare you, Trump? All you do is send 125 jets to help us in a war that’s not yours to fight, bomb our enemy for us after contributing billions to our military fund every year, parrot our cognitive dissonance on Gaza, and now you have the nerve to get irritated at us for pissing on your efforts to stop the conflict?
Trump, you antisemite!
